What we collect, and why

That is the complete list. We do not run advertising or analytics tracking on this website, we set no cookies for tracking purposes, and there are no third-party trackers embedded in these pages.
On what basis we process it
Where you submit your email address, we rely on your consent. You give it by choosing to submit the form, and you may withdraw it at any time by emailing us. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functioning.
Who else sees it
- Our web host, which stores the website and its server logs.
- Our form provider, which receives and stores email addresses submitted through the sign-up form on our behalf.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own purposes.
Where it is stored
Some of the service providers above may store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the information continues to receive an adequate level of protection, as required by section 72 of POPIA.
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and under the GDPR where it applies to you, you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it if it is wrong;
- ask us to delete it;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- object to how we are processing it;
- complain to a regulator.
To exercise any of these, email info@chronolynk.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge you for a straightforward request.
In South Africa you may also complain to the Information Regulator, at inforegulator.org.za.
Children
This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect email addresses from them. When the ChronoLynk product launches, some of it will be used by school pupils, and this policy will be expanded before then to deal properly with children's personal information, including the consent of a parent or guardian required under POPIA.
